Dating engineering student
If there’s one thing you’ll learn about dating an engineer it’s that they’ll surely have a life outside of your relationship, which is perfect for people that want to spend more time with their friends and family. It can be a great advantage because you won’t need to dedicate an abundant amount of time entertaining them, mostly because they’ll always be busy.Everyone loves the idea of being in a relationship with someone who is dedicated to their studies, to their work, and to their girlfriend or boyfriend. The problem is, engineers are typically engulfed by an absurd about of work from both school and their careers that can make it difficult to spend time with anyone else other than their books. The survey also revealed that students are likely to have partners with similar majors to their own; for example, engineering students dating natural science students.
“My girlfriend is minoring in [computer science] but majors in finance. I don’t think being in different schools makes it harder to meet new people or be in a relationship,” Hall said.
There’s a very fine line between an engineer who notices all of the fine details and that nitpicks at things that have changed in their surroundings.
For example, you might realize that their desk at home is incredibly organized or if it isn’t, they know where everything is hidden in the mess.
The survey also revealed patterns of cross-major dating.
After other Olin Business School students, business students tend to date engineers, who in turn are equally split between business and social science students.
